Rosarita is a very unique material. It gets its brilliant red and orange color from the process of gold refining. Alaskan beach sand was smelted for its gold content and the slag by product is "Rosarita" - essentially a gold-infused glass (a very similar product to Swedish Blue Slag or Leland Slag)!
