Fordite (Detroit Agate) and Sterling Silver Pendant with 3-chain Necklace

Fordite (Detroit Agate) and sterling silver pedant.  Sold with 3-chain sterling silver necklace with lobster clasp, 18" long.  Approximate size of pendant is 1-1/2"W x 1-3/4"L.

Fordite, also known as Detroit Agate, is many layers of old Ford Motor Company car paint.  When they used to spray the paint on the cars, the layers of paint would build up on the racks and go into the kilns to cure.  After many hundred of paintings, they would chip the built up paint off the racks!  What an amazing way to repurpose what would be otherwise considered trash.
